Afterschool Programming includes activities such as Power Hour (Homework Help), Drivers Education, Co-Ed Volleyball, Drumline, Band, and Beyond the Bell Sports. Participants can also take part in Keystone, Peaceful Connections, College & Career Bound, Artist in Training, Health & Fitness, Photography, Gaming Club, Crochet Club, Smart Girls, Passport to Manhood, 2D Animation, Interpretive Dance, Cyber Patriot, and other club-based offerings. During the school year, all programs are held on-site after school at the listed school locations.

In 2026, Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Los Angeles celebrates 10 years united in expanding opportunity for youth across Metro LA. The organization’s mission states that Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Los Angeles bridges the opportunity gap for resource-limited youth by providing safe, empowering spaces to learn, explore, and dream, and by providing vital programs in academics, leadership, and wellness while partnering with the community for enriching experiences. The Afterschool Programming is part of a broader effort that includes academics, leadership, and wellness programs and focuses on creating safe spaces that empower Club members to learn, explore, achieve, and dream.

Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Los Angeles partners with the community for enriching experiences, and Ross Stores, Inc. is partnering with Boys & Girls Clubs of America with a three-week program called “Help Local Kids Thrive” to support Boys & Girls Clubs, including Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Los Angeles. Ross Stores, Inc. is also the national sponsor of BGCA’s Power Hour, a homework tutoring program nationally sponsored by Ross.
