• Ages: 5–18 years old
• Schedule: Lesson options are available Monday–Friday during daytime and evening hours and on weekends during daytime hours.
Angeles Academy of Music has been serving Los Angeles since 2013 and was formed as Angeles Academy of Music in 2020 when Beha and Nathan Pangrazio teamed up to create the school, including opening the first commercial location in Westwood in January 2020. The school is owned and led by Beha Pangrazio and Nathan Pangrazio, with an assistant manager, a project manager, and front desk supervisors on the leadership team. All teachers are university trained, have years of teaching experience and technical proficiency, are selected from thousands of applicants with only 1% chosen, and complete personality tests, screening, background checks, and 10 hours of training in Angeles Academy’s proprietary music education methodology. The program’s philosophy is to meet each student where they are by cultivating a genuine passion for music while also providing the technical foundation for long-term growth.
Angeles Academy of Music is one of the largest and most established music schools in Los Angeles, with over 100 music instructors on staff and open seven days a week with multiple convenient lesson times, including midday, evening, and weekend options. Facilities include Yamaha and Kawai pianos and iPads in every room, a spacious lobby with coffee, water, and high speed internet, and interiors featuring gold-framed portraits of legendary composers and a giant bust of Beethoven, along with free parking in a covered lot. Through an educational partnership with Steinway & Sons, students perform on Steinway instruments. Angeles Academy of Music has an educational partnership with Steinway & Sons, and co-owner Nathan Pangrazio is an Emmy Award-winning composer and graduate of the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music with degrees in composition and vocal performance, while co-owner Beha Pangrazio holds multiple advanced degrees, including an MBA with a minor in Finance from Pepperdine University. Nathan’s collaboration with Steve Tisch and Vanessa Block earned their project a shortlisting at the 2016 Academy Awards, and he received both an Emmy and a Telly award for his soundtrack to “Lew Wallace.” In 2024, Beha was selected to receive one of the 10 Entrepreneur awards for Women of Impact from the Chamber of Commerce and Congress.
Parent feedback includes reports of fast development in piano and growing interest in music, positive experiences with teachers who work well with children, and descriptions of the environment as professional, welcoming, supportive, and fun, with high standards.
