Sophie Dance West offers classes in ballet, tap, jazz, hip hop, acrobatics, aerial, Competition Dance, acting, and musical theatre. The studio also hosts birthday parties and runs a theatre program called Westside Players.

Sophie Dance West is an all inclusive kids dance studio that welcomes any skill level, from no experience to highly skilled dancers. Sophie Dance and Level Up offer summer programming that includes week-long summer camps as well as a Main Season of classes that run from September through May and culminate in a year end recital. The studio describes its approach as focusing on nurturing each child through love and the discipline of dance education, with an emphasis on making heart to heart connections with students and families and creating an environment where children feel safe, secure, loved and taken care of. It describes itself as offering the ultimate recreational dance experience for children in a safe and nurturing environment.
Sophie Dance was established in 2007 and opened on the corner of La Brea and 3rd in 2007 as a one woman show with Miss Sophie. Over the last fifteen years, Sophie Dance has expanded to three locations. Miss Sophie is the owner of Sophie Dance 3rd Street, Sophie Dance West and Level Up Dance Academy. Miss Braelinn is a co-owner of the Sophie Dance West location and has recently been certified in Reiki 1. Miss Kat is a co-owner of Sophie Dance West and the creative director of the theatre program Westside Players.
The studios employ 25 staff members who come from a variety of dance backgrounds. The staff is described as a diverse representation of the students and includes men and women of color as well as people who identify as LGBTQ. The team describes its approach as having a mindfulness approach to children and a Come As You Are mentality.
Sister studio Level Up offers acrobatics, aerial and Competition Dance for children ages 6 and up. Sophie Dance On Demand is an online program for children ages 2–6 who are looking to dance from home. Sophie and Neil look for ways to give back to the Los Angeles community and are proud supporters of GLSEN, Chrysalis, and Alexandria House.
