AYSO Region 78 Hollywood-Wilshire Youth Soccer Programs follows the American Youth Soccer Organization mission of providing world class youth soccer programs that enrich children's lives. The program is part of an organization that highlights Everyone Plays, Balanced Teams, Positive Coaching, Good Sportsmanship, Open Registration, and Player Development, and also includes the AYSO PLAY! program, AYSO National Games, and the AYSO National Annual General Meeting. The leadership for AYSO includes Michael Karon, President of AYSO. Michael Karon has been recognized by Stack Sports for his impact in the world of sports volunteering. The broader American Youth Soccer Organization is involved in partnerships with Chicago Public Schools, the US Center for Mental Health & Sport, and the Northland Sports Alliance in Kansas City to expand and enhance youth soccer and wellness-focused programming.
