About

Rhodes School of Music offers individual lessons in piano, guitar, voice, drums, ukulele, cello, violin, viola, trumpet, clarinet, saxophone, flute, and audio production. The program also includes a mini-music option for kids ages 3–5. Lessons are taught on high quality acoustic pianos and drums, and piano is only taught on acoustic instruments and not digital keyboards.

Rhodes School of Music has a dedicated, degree-holding faculty of over 30 teachers. The school states that its mission is to foster skill, appreciation, and enjoyment of music by providing thorough music education in a comfortable, resourceful environment, and to support partnerships between teachers, students, and families to promote a lifelong relationship with music and creativity. The program notes that it serves students in central Los Angeles and the La Canada, La Crescenta, Montrose, and Northern Glendale areas.

Families have access to full-time front desk staff for help with lesson scheduling, billing, and questions. The waiting areas include comfortable couches and free wi-fi, and one location has an outdoor patio for use. The program offers frequent performance opportunities for all students, including two big recitals per year in a performance venue and smaller concerts in the waiting areas on the second Sunday of every month. Lessons are offered with no contract on a month-to-month basis and are billed monthly.
