Terasaki Budokan is a mission-driven project of Little Tokyo Service Center and has a mission to provide a facility in Downtown Los Angeles for youth, families, and seniors that offers sports, community activities, and connections to Japanese American culture and Little Tokyo. The facility hosts 15+ intergenerational programs, 27+ monthly free activities for seniors, 90k+ annual visitors, and 4k+ annual visitors for free events. One parent, Mike Mio, states, “My kids love eating at all the Japanese restaurants and playing at Budokan. It’s neat to have a gym in Little Tokyo that’s easily accessible. It feels great to have a home court for the Japanese American community.”

The Camp Budokan leadership team includes Ryan Lee, Director; Michelle Chan, Events Manager; Kim Kawasaki, Programs Manager; Amelia Wallace, Communications Manager; Cassandra Frederick, Rentals Supervisor; Jodi Alcantara, Administrative Assistant; Jacob Yagi, Programs Assistant; and Brian Frastaci, Facilities Assistant.
