About

Children of the Night – GED Tutoring & High School Graduation Programs is part of Children of the Night, a privately funded non-profit organization established in 1979 with the specific purpose to provide intervention in the lives of children who are sexually exploited and vulnerable to or involved in prostitution and pornography. The program is one of the services offered within a comprehensive effort that, since 1979, has rescued over 17,000 American children from sex trafficking and prostitution.

• Schedule: 24/7 nationwide toll-free case management and hotline services are available at (800) 551-1300.

Children of the Night is a privately funded non-profit organization that, in most years, spends 87% or more of its funds on the direct care and education of children and young people who have been victimized by prostitution. Since 1979, the organization has maintained a 70–80% success rate of permanently removing youth from prostitution and has sent more than 100 children to college, with 70% of those college participants leading successful adult lives across various careers. Children of the Night describes itself as the only comprehensive program in North America devoted to saving children forced into prostitution and as the only place in America where a child can call from a motel or truck stop anywhere in the United States and reach a skilled caseworker 24/7 who knows how to rescue and relocate a child or young person from a dangerous condition without the child being arrested by the police. WORLD Magazine states, “With no government funding, Lois Lee has made Children of the Night a haven for young women and men fleeing prostitution.” The organization was established by Dr. Lois Lee, and 2026 marks Children of the Night’s 47th anniversary of rescuing American children from prostitution in the United States.
