Everlasting Education Nature Connection Programs

Everlasting Education Nature Connection Programs offers backcountry trips, after-school hiking clubs, summer camps, and seasonal nature connection programs. The programs also include school break camps and other nature-based enrichment programs that take place within a fully outdoor TK–5 elementary school setting.

Everlasting Education Nature Connection Programs is part of a fully outdoor TK–5 elementary school that offers outdoor elementary education grounded in experiential learning and social-emotional growth. The program uses a constructivist classroom approach with student-led inquiry based on real-world experiences and place-based learning rooted in local ecology and cultural history. It emphasizes daily outdoor learning, small class sizes with a 6:1 student-teacher ratio, and an inclusive community that values each child’s whole growth. Everlasting Education was founded in 2020 by a group of educators and community members and launched in the fall of 2020. The organization states that its mission is to provide innovative, outdoor elementary education that fosters curiosity, resilience, and connection to self, community, and the natural world, and its curriculum aligns with California Department of Education standards while using teaching methods rooted in nature and community. Everlasting Education is fully accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC). The leadership team includes Michael Galano as Head of School and Executive Director, Cassidy Bartolomei as Board Chair, Nancy Kaase as Secretary, and Jon Thornham as Treasurer, and Michael Galano has a business degree from the University of Notre Dame and is a certified public accountant.
