Howard Fine Kids offers kids acting technique classes, a kids scene study program, camps, and audition classes for kids. The program includes Scene Study for Kids & Teens, Audition for Film & TV for Kids & Teens, Acting Technique for Kids & Teens, a Teen Intensive, a Kids Intensive (Ages 8-12), and a Youth Intensive (Ages 11-14). Kids acting classes are offered both online and in person, using the same award-winning approach the studio is known for, adapted in an age-appropriate way.

Howard Fine Kids states that it fosters a safe environment to create, imagine, and learn elements of acting on a professional level, with a curriculum that is student focused, family friendly, age appropriate, and emotionally sound. The program states that it values mental health in its students and teaches strategies to navigate the industry and the craft so students can work independently and feel confident.
The leadership team includes Founder and Artistic Director Howard Fine; Voice Director, acting teacher, and coach David Coury; on-camera acting teacher and coach Marilyn McIntyre; and kids and teens instructors Gina Simms and Becky Cloe. The studio offers beginning to advanced acting classes, private coaching, self-tape and audition prep, scene study classes, on-camera acting technique, voice workshops, and a remote training program called Fine Online, and it also has a second studio in Melbourne, Australia.
The Howard Fine Acting Studio has been operating since the late 1980s, and Howard Fine has been teaching and coaching in Los Angeles for over 30 years. In its almost 30 years in Los Angeles, the studio has established itself as one of the premier acting schools in the country and one of the top acting studios in Los Angeles. Howard Fine was voted Best Acting Teacher by Backstage Magazine, is an Ovation Award Nominee, and is a member of the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences, and he holds a master’s degree and an honorary Fine Arts Doctorate from Rhode Island College.
Howard Fine is the Founder and Artistic Director of the studio and, at age 23, headed the acting program at AMDA in New York and has directed on Broadway. David Coury is an international voice expert and teacher and is the Voice Director of the studio. Marilyn McIntyre is an on-camera acting coach who teaches at The Howard Fine Acting Studio Los Angeles and Howard’s studio in Australia.
In addition to training professional actors, Howard Fine helps the FBI train undercover agents in the global war on terror, and the Los Angeles Task Force on Terrorism recognized him for this work. Scene Study for Kids & Teens uses a full set of furniture and props and builds skills for both stage and screen acting. Audition for Film & TV for Kids & Teens is an online class focused on self-tape and audition skills, and Acting Technique for Kids & Teens covers both the foundations of acting technique and on-camera auditioning.
