West Hollywood Children’s Academy

West Hollywood Children’s Academy offers activities such as dancing, gymnastics, yoga, outdoor play, art projects, play dough, and kinetic sand. The program includes a STEAM program, a phonics-based reading program, thematic units, Spanish immersion classes, Spanish classes, music appreciation and singing, and an interactive live zoology program. It is a center-based early childhood education program with a preschool, transitional kindergarten, and day care core curriculum.

Since 1991, West Hollywood Children’s Academy has operated as a premier preschool with over 30 years of experience. The program uses a wide variety of learning materials that introduce languages, literature, arts, music, science, and math, and its curriculum emphasizes fine and gross motor skills development. The environment includes well-equipped indoor and outdoor areas, a spacious playground and backyard for running, jumping, and biking, and a cozy, home-like setting. Education and care are provided by staff with a background in child development or related fields, and the program maintains teacher-child ratios of 1:6 for twos, 1:6 for threes, and 1:10 for pre-K. West Hollywood Children’s Academy states a mission to create a high quality, creative, hands-on educationally appropriate program for young children. Organic and nutritious meals are provided, tours are by appointment only, and the service area includes West Hollywood and the surrounding areas.
