JEI Learning Centre

JEI Learning Centre offers JEI Math, JEI English, Reading & Writing, Problem Solving Math, and Brain Safari. JEI Math is listed for K.1 to F.3, and JEI English is listed for K.1 to F.3. Students come to the centre once a week, and the weekly session for each subject is typically one hour long.

Programs

• JEI Math — K.1 to F.3; age 3-5, age 6-12, age 13-15 · Once a week; weekly session for each subject is typically one hour long · Develops interest and confidence in math through mathematical thinking, creativity and problem-solving skills by learning based on concept and principle understanding.
• JEI English — K.1 to F.3 · Once a week; weekly session for each subject is typically one hour long · Provides a strong foundation in grammar, vocabulary, and reading skills.
• Reading & Writing — Once a week; weekly session for each subject is typically one hour long · A literature-based enrichment programme designed to develop key comprehension strategies, improve overall writing quality, and nurture creativity.
• Problem Solving Math — Once a week; weekly session for each subject is typically one hour long · Intended for advanced students and features Common Core type questions.
• Brain Safari — Once a week; weekly session for each subject is typically one hour long · Strengthens logical and analytical skills, enhances creativity and memory proficiency, and increases overall intelligence by focusing on the 9 different learning domains of critical thinking.

About the provider

JEI says it has been helping children for over 40 years in achieving academic success. Its mission statement says it improves children’s study habits through constant provision of customised programmed workbooks to reach the full potential of the student. Students receive one workbook for the subject they are enrolled in each week, the workbooks are designed to be self-learning, and classes typically have a ratio of five students to one teacher.
