Wilshire Boulevard Temple Camps describes its mission by stating that its Jewish community is at the core of its values and that camp is where kids live, learn, and play with purpose, building character and connections that last a lifetime. The program highlights Jewish life by the sea, Shabbat under the stars, Hebrew songs around the campfire, and Israeli dancing under the stars, with Shabbat described as a weekly highlight with singing, reflection, and Israeli dancing under the stars. Jewish values are described as part of every day, and all Jewish backgrounds are stated as belonging, from just-curious to deeply connected. Meals are served kosher style, with no pork or shellfish and no mixing of milk and meat, and campers are told they can enjoy seconds and even thirds at meals.

The camp notes that its journey started in 1952 and that it has a legacy of 75 summers of friendship, fun, and Jewish life by the sea. Campers live in dorm spaces called quads, each with four rooms opening into a common space, with about half of the quads having a bathroom with direct access from the common space and the other half sharing a larger bathroom between two quads. The program offers electives plus specialty tracks such as Yahm Surf and Kef B’Yahm, and rising 12th graders can participate as CITs. Since the fires in 2018, the camp states that wherever they hold camp, the experience helps campers grow, explore, and try new things in a safe environment and through a Jewish lens.

The leadership team includes Jen Shankman as Director, Erica Feinman as Senior Associate Director, and Adrian Taha-Green as Assistant Director. The camp displays American Camp Association accreditation and a Keshet LGBTQ Safe Zone logo, and it lists Jewish Federation Los Angeles, American Camp Association, Keshet LGBTQ Safe Zone, Foundation for Jewish Camp (FJC), and JCAMP180 as associated resources or logos. Buses depart from Wilshire Boulevard Temple in Los Angeles with drop-off directly on site at the Academy, and the camp notes Open House visit days with in-person tours for summer 2026.
