Kids Martial Arts Summer Camp includes anti-bully situations with role playing, self-defense techniques and when to use them, and coordination, balance, and agility training using Brazilian Jiu Jitsu as the foundation. The camp also features Adventures with Science, Martial Arts and Crafts, and learning the 8 Magic Words of a Martial Artist. Kids Martial Arts Summer Camp is part of Selva Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and Mixed Martial Arts, which has been the leader in kids’ martial arts and anti-bullying programs for over 17 years. The program’s approach focuses on building respect, confidence, and self-discipline, which are described as crucial in preventing and addressing bullying. Coaches and staff, including the program director, are described as well-trained, positive professionals with a history of working with children ages 4 through teens.
The leadership team includes Coach Brian, who is the Program Director and Head Children’s Instructor, and Master Jason Selva, the head black belt associated with Selva Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and Mixed Martial Arts. Selva Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and Mixed Martial Arts are 5 Time US National Champions in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, and the head black belt is the World Submission Wrestling ADCC US National Champion. Selva Martial Arts specializes in training beginners, offers a “Mommy and Me” Brazilian jiu-jitsu program starting as young as 10 months that is described as the only one in the world for Brazilian jiu-jitsu, provides family discounts, and has a variety of classes 6 days a week.
