L.A. Golf Academy

L.A. Golf Academy offers Junior Golf Lessons for ages 9 to 17. The lessons are 90-minute private lessons or lessons with students they know, and all equipment is provided, including clubs if needed. It also offers Junior Golf Camp for ages 9 to 14, with camp held Monday through Friday from 9:30 am to 1:00 pm during Spring, Summer, Fall, and Winter school break.

Programs

• Junior Golf Lessons — Age 9 to 17 · $150–$225 per session · 90-minute private lesson or with students they know; tailored to the student’s golf experience; all equipment provided, including clubs if needed.
• Junior Golf Camp — Age 9 to 14 · Mon-Fri, 9:30 am-1:00 pm · $150 per day · Offered during Spring, Summer, Fall, and Winter school break.
• Adult Golf Lessons — 7 days per week, 9:00 am-sunset · $225 per session · 90-minute private lesson or with others that know each other; tailored to experience; all equipment provided, including clubs if needed.
• Golf Development After-School Program — Age 9 to 17 · Thursdays, 3:30 pm-5:00 pm · NO LONGER OFFERED; paused until further notice.

About the provider

The leadership team includes PGA Teaching Professional Carlos R. Rodriguez and Manager Pamela Kratochvil. Carlos R. Rodriguez is described as a Class A PGA Certified and Trained Professional with over 30 years of experience. His credentials include PGA Teaching Professional, U.S. Marine, Aikido practitioner, study at the Hombu Dojo in Tokyo, the Freedoms Foundation at Valley Forge The George Washington Honor Medal for service to disabled veterans, and work as an instructor at First Tee of Los Angeles. He also volunteers teaching Veterans in the Greater Los Angeles VA domiciliary Golf Therapy program and at his Four Corners Veterans Foundation.

Lessons are held at Heroes Golf Course, West Los Angeles; no lessons if raining; parents must sign a liability waiver before junior lessons.
