Lil' Guppies Swim School offers private swim lessons, parent and me lessons, adult swim lessons, semi-private swim lessons, and small group lessons. Private lessons are one-on-one and can be at a family’s private pool, while parent and me lessons include back floats, buoyancy, water acclimation, pool geography, and simulated safety and rescue sequences. The school also offers lifeguard services for parties or events at $85 per hour with a 2 hour minimum.
Programs
- Private Swim Lessons — all ages and skill levels; teaching all ages (infants to adults) · Personalized 1-on-1 lessons; at-home/private pool lessons; water safety, swimming foundations, stroke technique, confidence and endurance building.
- Parent and Me Lessons — 4 months to 18 months · Focused on water safety skills including back floats, buoyancy, water acclimation, pool geography, and simulated safety and rescue sequences.
- Adult Swim Lessons — adults · For physical fitness, injury rehabilitation, confidence and endurance, overcoming fear of water, advanced swim training, or learning to swim.
- Semi-Private Swim Lessons — all ages and abilities · Lessons with a friend or small group; 60-minute welcome session for families taking semi-private/group lessons together.
- Small Group Lessons — all ages and abilities · Lessons for 3+ swimmers.

About the provider
Lil' Guppies Swim School was started in the summer of 2006 in Los Angeles, CA by owner and lead instructor Amy Diamond. It has been trusted by Los Angeles families for over 20 years. Amy Diamond has over 25 years of experience teaching swim lessons and water safety, and the program says it prioritizes water safety and survival skills for beginners before building on that foundation.
