Lil' Guppies Swim School was started in the summer of 2006. The owner and lead instructor, Amy Diamond, has over 25 years of experience teaching swim lessons and water safety. The program teaches infants to adults and matches clients with the instructor and schedule that are available, and clients must have a pool or access to one. The Lil' Guppies team states that it prioritizes water safety and survival skills for beginners, builds on this foundation as students progress, and uses a gentle, nurturing, and flexible approach to work with families toward their goals and to foster confidence and a positive association with the water, with a stated goal of inspiring confidence and love for swimming in everyone they teach.
