About the provider

Playgroup LA was created and founded by Betsy Edelberg, known as Miss Betsy. She is a child development specialist, professor, and parent and child educator. Miss Betsy holds an M.S. in Family and Human Development, Magna Cum Laude, a B.A. in Child and Adolescent Development, Cum Laude, and an A.S. in Child Development and Early Childhood Education. She formally trained in Waldorf education and is certified in Children’s Yoga and Educational Kinesiology. The program is informed by Waldorf Early Childhood Education and developmental science.

• Private Consultations — Private parenting consults for personalized parent reflection, renewal, repair, and education.
• Host a Playgroup Class — A hosted outdoor class organized at a home, school, or child-friendly nature area; can be a single day workshop or a series of classes.

Classes are mixed-age and informed by Waldorf Early Childhood Education and developmental science. County guidelines restrict enrollment, so space may be limited. Playgroup LA classes are typically parent-child classes for babies through age six, and can be tailored for any age group up to adults.
