With a focus on disenfranchised Black and Latino communities, the faculty and staff use dance and theater training and performance to enrich, inspire, and transform the lives of students. The leadership team includes Debbie Allen, Misty Copeland, and Desmond Richardson. The Debbie Allen Middle School for the Arts is an independent, private school for aspiring young dancers in grades 6–8, where students can nurture their creativity and explore connections between the academic world and dance and theatre arts.
