About
Tamwood Summer Camps at UCLA offers English classes, organized instruction in a range of sports, creative and cultural activities, sightseeing, social activities, excursions, and cultural events. Campers also take part in short-form content creation for platforms such as TikTok, Reels, and Shorts, along with video production that includes filming, lighting, and editing, and they complete a final project presentation. Excursions include visits to Universal Studios, Santa Monica Beach, the Hollywood Walk of Fame, Griffith Observatory, Disneyland, an LA Dodgers baseball game, the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures, LACMA, the Santa Monica Pier, and Venice Beach biking.

• Schedule: Campers can sign up for 1 to 6 weeks, with 15 hours of English classes per week (1 lesson = 45 minutes); the Content Creation & Social Media Academy runs as a 2-week program.

Language Camps have a maximum class size of 18, Academies have a maximum class size of 30, and the camper-to-counselor ratio is 6:1 for Juniors (ages 7–10), 12:1 for Youths (ages 11–14), and 16:1 for Seniors (ages 15–17). Health and security staff are available on-site 24/7, and experienced teachers focus on improving language skills while helping students build confidence and fluency.
