About

UCLA Recreation Youth Programs & Camps offers a range of activities that include Youth Camps and Summer Camps, as well as the Little Bruins Clubhouse and Little Bruin Spirit. The program also offers Youth Swim Lessons, the Bruin Swim Club, swim lessons, lifeguarding, aquatic programs, the Bruin Masters Swim Club, Intramural & Club Sports, Adaptive Recreation & Instructional Tennis, Outdoor Trips & Education, and Junior Rowing.

UCLA Recreation Youth Programs & Camps is led and supported by a large campus recreation and campus life team that includes Erinn McMahan, Executive Director, UCLA Recreation, and Mick Deluca, Assistant Vice Chancellor, Campus Life. Leadership and program operations roles include positions such as Senior Associate Director - Facility Operations, Associate Director, Business Operations, and multiple managers and coordinators for member services, finance, marketing and communications, fitness and wellness, experiential programs, instructional and youth programs, aquatics, rowing, and outdoor adventures. Specific youth and family program roles include an Assistant Director, Instructional & Youth Programs; a Youth & Family Programs Coordinator; and a Youth & Instructional Programs Staff Supervisor, along with staff overseeing youth events and Bruin Woods. The program also has designated coordinators and coaches for areas such as adaptive programs, martial arts, rowing, rugby, esports engagement, junior rowing, and the Masters Swim Club. Families can join a Youth & Family Programs mailing list, and a Youth Programs General Parent Guide is available with camp essentials and policies, including program philosophy and refund information.
