About
KCAT Youth Multimedia Camps gives campers hands-on time creating and producing news segments, including weather, sports, human-interest stories, commercials, and other on-air content. Camp activities include scriptwriting, auditions, filming, production, set design, editing, and games, along with a walking field trip into town to interview businesses. Each weekly session ends with a live Friday broadcast for families, and movies created in camp debut at the Los Gatos Theatre, with no grades, no tests, and no stress in the movie camp.
• Ages: 9–13 years old
• Schedule: Weekly sessions from June 8 to August 7, with Monday–Friday half-day and full-day options
• Price: Special pricing: $425 per week for half-day sessions and $700 per week for full-day sessions, with an option to sign up for any 2 weeks of full-day TV & Movie Camp and save $200.
