About
Los Gatos-Saratoga Community Education and Recreation offers Clubhouse Summer Camps, day camps, Specialty Camps, Catpaws Preschool Camps, and Summer Camps. The program also offers Vasona Boating, Aquatics Programs, LGS Sports Academies, LGS Basketball Academy, LGS Volleyball Academy, LGS Cheerleading Academy, and LGS Cheer.
• Schedule: Vasona Boating is open on weekends from 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with the last boats going out at 5:00 PM; the Youth Recreation Center, Adult Recreation Center, and Joan Pisani Community Center are open Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM and are closed on most major holidays.
Los Gatos-Saratoga Community Education and Recreation was formed in 1956. Its mission is to provide fee-based public recreation programs for Los Gatos, Monte Sereno, Saratoga and the Los Gatos mountain communities, and to provide fee-based supplemental education programs and child care services for Los Gatos Union School District, Saratoga Union School District and Los Gatos-Saratoga Union High School District. It was formed by the Los Gatos-Saratoga Union High School District and later reorganized by three local school districts as a separate joint powers agency to provide community education and recreation services to the communities of Los Gatos, Saratoga, Monte Sereno and the mountain communities. The program notes Summer Camps & Classes Registration Now Open, a 70th Anniversary Photo Contest, a 55 Plus Newsletter, and a Live-Scan Fingerprinting Service.
