Los Gatos Rowing Club Youth Teams

Los Gatos Rowing Club Youth Teams offers year-round recreational and competitive rowing programs for middle school and high school students. The youth teams include skill work, teamwork, and preparation to compete at local, regional, national, and international levels. The club also offers summer rowing camps and summer junior Learn to Row camps that teach boat handling, rowing technique, and land and water training.

Programs

• Youth Teams — grades 6th-12th · Developing each athlete through skill and teamwork; supportive, challenging environment; prepare to compete at local, regional, national, and international levels.
• Summer Rowing Camps — middle and high school aged athletes · Variety of summer rowing programs for all experience levels.
• Summer Junior Learn to Row Camps - High School — rising 6th - 12th grade athletes · Monday through Friday, 9am to noon · Week-long Learn to Row Camp for high school and middle school athletes; teaches basics of rowing, including boat handling, rowing technique, and land and water training.
• Competitive Novice Development Camp 2026 — entering the 6th – 12th grade in the Fall of 2026 · For athletes who have completed one of the middle school programs or Learn to Row Camps in the past.
• Summer Varsity Performance Camp 2026 — high school novice program graduates or returning Varsity rowers · For athletes who completed the high school Novice Program or are a returning Varsity rower.

About the provider

Los Gatos Rowing Club has been home to rowing in the South Bay since 1979. Junior rowers have won numerous national and international titles, and alumni have been recruited and accepted at the collegiate level, including Colgate, Columbia University, Cornell, Dartmouth, Georgetown, Harvard, Stanford, Syracuse, UC California Berkeley, UCLA, UC San Diego, the University of Connecticut, the University of San Diego, the University of Washington, and Wisconsin.

The Learn to Row Camp is co-ed. Coaches and summer staff will foster a positive and supportive environment.
