American Youth Soccer Organization Region 1288 Lynwood offers the AYSO Core youth soccer program for children between 3 and 19 years of age. It also offers AYSO EXTRA, with birth year divisions and Fall and/or Spring tryouts; teams compete throughout AYSO Section 11 and in tournament play.

About the provider
Region 1288 has represented the Lynwood community for over 15 years. AYSO’s Mission is to develop and deliver quality youth soccer programs that promote a fun, family environment based on Everyone Plays®, Balanced Teams, Open Registration, Positive Coaching, Good Sportsmanship, and Player Development. Lynwood AYSO says it runs on parent power, and Lynwood Extra teams are expected to volunteer during the season, most often as referees or by lining fields.
Open registration: there are no elimination try-outs and nobody gets cut. Players must play at least 50% of every game. Coaches must use a positive coaching approach. EXTRA requires tryouts, and all EXTRA coaches must hold an AYSO Regional Referee certification.
