The league provides programs for 5- to 15-year-olds, from beginner recreational softball through competitive travel ball, and its website is the central location for all league, travel ball, and district news. The 6U division is for players in Transitional Kindergarten and Kindergarten and uses t-Ball with some coach pitch; the 8U division is for 1st and 2nd graders with some player pitch and some coach pitch; the 10U division is for 3rd and 4th graders with player pitch; the 12U division is for 5th and 6th graders with player pitch; and the 15U division is for 7th and 8th graders, with openings for freshmen who do not make their high school team, also using player pitch. The league’s mission states that it aspires to be an outstanding educational-athletic organization for softball players across Marin, from beginner recreational levels through competitive travel-ball programs, and that it aims to offer a high-quality experience for every player as defined in its mission statement. The mission also states that coaches, officials, and parents are central to achieving this and that the league is committed to creating a positive culture in which coaches, officials, parents, administrators, and players work together toward that mission. The leadership team includes Madie Augusto as Administrative Director and Darcy Bell as Umpire Coordinator. The website is powered by SportsEngine’s Sports Relationship Management (SRM) software and is owned by and subject to the Marin Girls Softball League privacy policy.
