Freedom Surf Camps

Freedom Surf Camps offers surf camps, after school programs, private surf lessons, and special events. The program also runs surf trips, snow trips, and a variety of scuba options, including scuba intro, scuba open water, scuba certification, and scuba diving. Additional activities include advance hiking, rafting, girls surfing, girls skiing and snowboarding, and other trips.

Freedom Surf Camps is led by Owner and Founder Gilad Lewandovski, with Surf Directors Isabelle Brown and Manhattan Beach Surf Director Nick Warwick. The instructional team includes Instructor Clair Donahue, Instructor Ellie Bartis, Lifeguard/Instructor Indi Guckert, and Lifeguard/Instructor Tess King. The program describes itself as a community for kids and families in Venice, Santa Monica, and Manhattan Beach. Multiple parent testimonials describe instructors who focus on ocean safety, water and sun safety, and daily safety briefings every morning before surfing and boogie boarding. Parents also report that their children have participated in yoga sessions at the start of the day, year-round surfing, and snow trips with the Freedom team.
