Throughout the week, groups visit counselor-led activity stations for sports, games, art, science, and drama twice, enjoy bounce houses twice, and take part in water games, water balloon fights, hunting for golden eggs, egg drop contests, talent shows, group performances, and camper and counselor challenges. Campers also experience special guest performances, a camp guest performer once per week, camp barbecues, cookout day, sweet treat day, and a camp dress up day based on the weekly theme, along with camper choice time and the chance to spin the Wonder Wheel.

Camp Strawberry offers a Counselors-In-Training (CIT) program for ages 12–14, where CITs work directly with counselors to help guide groups and lead activities, and take part in resume-building, interview practice, self-evaluations, and leadership styles discussion. CITs have their own learning topic each week and daily meetings to debrief performances, perform self-evaluations, and discuss various leadership styles in a camp environment, and they leave the program with a stronger sense of leadership skills, life skills, and first-hand counselor training.

Camp Strawberry partners with Children’s Menu to offer fresh, nut-free, no-fry, made-to-order lunch options during lunchtime, with orders due by 11pm the night before, and campers not using Children’s Menu bringing a packed lunch and daily snacks, including on some Fridays when Children’s Menu is not available because of a camp barbeque. During camp swim lessons, a lifeguard and supervisor are on deck at all times, instructors evaluate each child’s abilities to create the best lesson plan and group level, and hands-on assistance is provided for children at a lower swim level. The Strawberry Recreation District, established in 1949 as an independent state special district, states that its mission is to enrich the quality of life in the community by offering a diverse range of recreational programs, parks, and facilities that promote health, wellness, learning, and fun, and in partnership with the Tiburon Peninsula Foundation, SRD offers a Youth Scholarship Program for Marin County residents under the age of 18.
