CreativeCave is a Design Thinking Studio for school age kids that offers classes and workshops in areas such as comic art and graphic storytelling, STEM art exploration, mixed-media making, and art foundations in drawing and painting. Students can take part in specific programs including COMIC ART & GRAPHIC STORYTELLING, STEM ART EXPLORATION, CRAFTY CREATORS WORKSHOP, DIGITAL ART & ILLUSTRATION LEVEL 1 and LEVEL 2, MIXED-MEDIA MAKERS, ART TIME TRAVELERS - MIXED MEDIA ADVENTURE, CREATIVE JOURNAL: BOOKBINDING, STICKERS & SELF EXPRESSION, VIDEO GAME DESIGN & PIXEL ART ADVENTURE, TEENS TUTORING & PASSION PROJECTS, and CHESS CLUB. Activities at CreativeCave include animation, character development, stop motion, digital illustration, fashion and fashion design, robotics, coding, sketching, prototyping, and sewing skills such as choosing fabrics, creating patterns, pinning, cutting, hand sewing, machine sewing, and embellishing wearable products, as well as storyboarding, character design, and work related to video games.

CreativeCave describes itself as a fun, safe and supportive place where kids can develop their creative potential through a mix of art, technology and project based learning, with a curriculum that gives students the freedom to foster their own unique interests and build independent thinking and creative problem solving skills. The founder and leader, Mimia, is an award-winning creative director, professor and speaker with over 15 years of experience creating visual stories, cinematography and characters at Pixar Animation Studios, Tippett Studio, and other studios, and she is also a professor and mentor to aspiring designers and animators at Academy of Art University.
CreativeCave states that it works with industry professionals from major studios in the development of its curriculum, and some of these professionals are mentors and teachers at the studio. The program lists partners including Stanford Graduate School of Business for a “Who am I” graphic novel workshop and Angel Aid.
