Established in 2019, Golden Gate Rippers Field Hockey Club focuses on youth and high school field hockey in the North Bay and grew out of a competitive high school girls lacrosse club that started in the spring of 2017, with field hockey added in 2019. The club’s mission is to bring players from schools across Marin together to grow as athletes and teammates, build confidence, and experience the joy of playing field hockey or lacrosse. It offers year-round competitive K–12 field hockey with weekend and weekday options, including Saturday and Sunday practices as the foundation of the club program and smaller weekday sessions focused on individual skill development. Programs are offered seasonally with the option to join all seasons or select seasons, with a fall session for grades K–8 and winter skills clinic, spring season, and summer camps open to grades K–12.

Golden Gate Rippers Field Hockey Club is described as Marin County's premier field hockey club and the first and only field hockey club team in the North Bay for middle school and high school field hockey. It is open to all skill levels from beginners to elite players and is a competitive field hockey club exclusive to the North Bay area. There are no tryouts; practices are used to evaluate players for team placement, and teams are tiered based on ability, level, and graduation year rather than being grade-pure. The club forms competitive tournament teams based on age and skill level and attends hand-picked competitive tournaments that fit the calendar and are a short distance away.

Athletes are taught by highly experienced field hockey coaches, including former players from top Division I schools and international programs, and the club has a dedicated goalie coach. The leadership team includes Coach MB and Coach Aline, both former Division I players and coaches, who offer advice and guidance to players as needed. The youth coaching program gives high school athletes the chance to build leadership skills and serve as role models for younger players.
