Golden Gate Rippers Field Hockey

Golden Gate Rippers Field Hockey Club offers year-round competitive field hockey for K-12 players, with weekend and weekday practices and tournament play. The club also offers fall K-8 season, winter skills clinic, spring K-12 season, K-12 summer camps, July weekend field hockey scrimmage camps, Field Hockey + LAX weekday camps, and an August field hockey camp.

• Year-round competitive K-12 field hockey — K-12 · Weekend and weekday practices; Saturday/Sunday practices and weekday sessions · Competitive practices and tournament play; tournament teams are based on age and skill level.
• Fall K-8 Season — K-8 · Sept to beginning-Nov
• Winter Skills Clinic — K-12 · End-Nov to end-Jan

• K-12 Summer Camps — K-12 · July & August
• July Weekend Field Hockey Scrimmage Camps — Incoming 6th-10th grade · 9am-11am; July 11 & 12 and July 18 & 19 · $215 per session · Players are placed in age/skill groups; stick skills, hitting, small-team and big-team game play, and scrimmaging.
• Field Hockey + LAX Weekday Camps — Girls K-8 · All day; June 15-18, June 22-25, and July 20-23 · $350–$450 per session · In partnership with Wolfpack Lacrosse; half day $350, full day $450; sibling discount $25; equipment for beginners provided.
• August Field Hockey Camp — Incoming 1st-12th grade · 9am-12pm; July 31, August 1, and August 2 · $335 per session · 3-day camp; players are placed in age/skill groups.

About the provider

The club says it was established in 2019, and its about page also says it was founded in the Spring of 2017 and added field hockey in 2019. Coach MB and Coach Aline are named as offering college recruiting advice and guidance. The club says it is passionate about developing youth and high school field hockey in the North Bay, and it describes itself as the 1st and only field hockey club in the North Bay and Marin County's Premier Field Hockey Club.

Open to all skill levels, from elite players to beginners. No tryouts are held; practice is used to evaluate players for team placement. Teams are tiered based on ability, level, and graduation year and are not grade-pure. Players can commit to all seasons or select only some. Can prorate the August camp if contacted before registering. Current USA Field Hockey membership is required for all players for practices and non-USFHA sponsored local tournaments.
