About the provider

Happy Feet Dance School was established in 1978 and has been serving the Marin County dance and performing arts community since then. The school states that its goal is to provide a quality dance program where students learn to dance in an environment that is stimulating and exciting, while at the same time safe, warm, and welcoming, and it notes that students are personally placed in age- and level-appropriate classes. The program describes a belief in the physical, emotional, cognitive, and social benefits of dance, and explains that students are placed in classes where they will feel challenged, encouraged, joyful, and successful in learning to dance. Students are invited to perform in various community events as well as annual recitals.

Yearly tuition for core curriculum classes is paid in two installments, the first in September and the second in February. Depending on age, class size is limited to approximately 12-15 students per class. Students are placed in appropriate classes by Happy Feet faculty based on age, number of years of dance experience, and individual ability. Experienced dancers are not eligible for self-enrollment and require an assessment for placement.
