• Schedule: Four themed weeks in summer 2026, including Alice in Wonderland JR. (June 15–20, 2026), Shrek the Musical KIDS (June 22, 2026), Make Your Own Play (June 29, 2026), and Once Upon a Mattress: Youth Edition (July 13, 2026)
Marin Theatre was founded in 1966. Its stated mission is to be a dynamic hub that creates theater and unique artistic experiences to entertain and educate the people of Marin, the Bay Area, and beyond. Marin Theatre describes itself as a home for brave and thoughtfully curated professional theater, art, and events in the San Francisco Bay Area, and it acknowledges that its theatre and administrative offices are located on the ancestral, occupied, and unceded land of the Coast Miwok peoples. For more than 50 years, a community of donors has supported Marin Theatre, and 60% of its budget depends on charitable contributions that support new works, collaborations with emerging playwrights, community engagement, and its education programs, including scholarships.
