Marin Theatre Education Programs

Marin Theatre Education Programs offers weeklong theatre-making workshops like Fractured Fairy Tales, where kids take part in activities built around familiar stories. The program also runs themed summer camps such as Set Design and Build, Costume Design and Creation, and Filmmaking, as well as after school classes like Performing Monologue & Personal Storytelling and school-time matinees with theatre tours and optional in-class workshops.

• In-School Residency: Should children vote? Political Puppetry! — 8-week in-school residency · $1,200 per session · Grade level 3-6; students create original puppet characters and perform short skits imagining a world where kids have a say in democracy
• In-School Residency: Exploring and Making Docu-Theatre! — 8-week in-school residency · $1,200 per session · Grade level 7 - High School; led by a professional Docu-Theatre artist
• After School Class: Performing Monologue & Personal Storytelling — Every Thursday 4:00-6:00 pm, 8 sessions; performance on a Friday · $600 per session · For middle and high school students; max enrollment 15 students; students finish with an original monologue performed live on the Main Stage
• Professional Development for Educators — Unique opportunities to grow as an educator; includes past classes such as Theatre of the Oppressed Workshop
