Marin Tutors

Marin Tutors offers in-person tutoring in math, science, English, foreign languages, and history, as well as online tutoring. The program also provides AP tutoring in economics, statistics, calculus, and biology, along with advanced placement test preparation and standardized test preparation for the SSAT, SAT, and ACT. Marin Tutors includes college admissions counseling as part of its services.

Marin Tutors began in 1999 and has 25 years of experience tutoring students in Marin County and the Bay Area, with more than 5,000 students tutored in and around Marin County. The program reports that over 875 students have been accepted to Ivy League and University of California schools. Tutors come from colleges including Yale, Brown, UCLA, UC Berkeley, Harvard, University of Pennsylvania, USC, UC Davis, and Stanford University, and the team provides one-to-one tutoring in all subjects listed. The founder, Shannon Mulligan, holds a bachelor’s degree in economics with a minor in education from UC Berkeley and a master’s degree in school counseling for grades 5–12 from Boston College. Marin Tutors serves low income elementary, middle school, high school, and college students from a variety of socioeconomic backgrounds and states that it is 100% focused on helping students to improve, build confidence, and find joy in learning.
