Shakespearience is an innovative and dynamic theatre arts program where students work with Shakespeare and swords. Activities include sword-play, stage combat, and broadswords fighting, along with workshops and courses focused on Shakespeare’s plays and language. The program also features the Shakespearience Salon, an annual student showcase with performances and swashbuckling sword fights.

Shakespearience was founded in 2007 and became a non-profit in 2014. Its mission is to cultivate a safe, nurturing and creative environment for students, with Shakespeare and swords. Shakespearience is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization. The organization provides inter-curricular programs at local schools, after-school workshops and summer camps in the greater San Francisco Bay Area. Programs include workshops such as Quills; Swords, Scenes and Soliloquies; Romeo & Juliet; Fight Like a Girl!; and Villainy, as well as summer camps including A Midsummer Night's Dream; Swords, Scenes & Soliloquies; and Advanced Lab: Queen Margaret. Inter-curricular courses include Production Workshops, Middle School Workshops, Sonnets, Swords & Stories, and Shakespeare History. Leadership opportunities are available through Captains/Internships, including Captain in Training for 8th–10th grade and Shakespearience Captain for 11th and 12th grade. Adult programming includes Fight Like a Girl for Mill Valley Moms and Friends, an all-women's broadswords fighting workshop. The Shakespearience Salon celebrates the transformative, inspirational power of theatre and art for youth. Shakespearience plans to purchase steel stage combat weapons for advanced students.
