Tamalpais Strawberry Preschools has a 70-year history. The mission states that the focus is the whole child, emphasizing each child’s overall growth including social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development. The schools are nonsectarian and were built cooperatively with the church in which each is housed, and they welcome all children regardless of their race, religion, or ethnicity. They operate as a private non-profit corporation. The schools also hold community gatherings throughout the year, including a back-to-school lemonade social, parent coffees, a Halloween Festival, Parents' Night Out, a spring party at the park, and group play dates.
