Mill Valley Pottery Studio

Mill Valley Pottery Studio offers courses in pottery on the wheel and hand-building techniques, plus workshops for adults and kids. It also offers family events where participants roll out slabs of clay and decorate them with stamps and rolling pins, and single date lessons on the wheel or with handbuilding for ages 7+ or all ages.

Programs

• Family Events — all ages · Learn to roll out a slab of clay and decorate with stamps and rolling pins. No experience necessary and the studio is happy to accommodate all ages.
• Single Date Wheel Lesson — ages 7+ · A single 2 hour private event for 1-4 participants working on a pottery wheel.
• Single Date Handbuilding Lesson — all ages · A single 2 hour private event for 1-4 participants using handbuilding. No experience necessary and the studio is happy to accommodate all ages.

About the provider

Mill Valley Pottery Studio specializes in pottery and ceramic arts education. MVPS was founded in 2011. Jennie Dito founded MVPS in 2011 and their sister studio Wheelhouse in 2016, and the studio is owned by Lucy Alexander.

• Gift Certificates — Gift certificates can be applied to any course, workshop, event or membership.
• Parties & Events — 1-10 people · Book a private lesson or event for 1-10 people working on the pottery wheel or sculpt something unique. Single lessons or bundle of 4 sessions available.
• Date Night — A single event to try throwing on the wheel without a long term commitment.
• Memberships — experienced and independent ceramicists · Monthly memberships with unlimited access to online resources.

Wheel instruction is appropriate for ages 7+. All materials are included. Finished products are food safe. Work is ready to pick up 3 weeks after the event. Shipping is not available for single date lessons.
