The Art Barn Mill Valley

The Art Barn Mill Valley is a children's art space where kids take part in art and sensory play, Process Art, Morning Art Classes, After School Art Programs, Weekend Drop ins, and birthday parties. The program offers a full-blown indoor art studio and is adding an expansive outdoor garden and interactive play space in Spring 2025. Birthday parties include 2 hours of non-stop creativity, art-making, and fun tailored to the age and interests of the birthday child.

• Schedule: Morning art classes, after school art programs, weekend drop ins, and 2-hour birthday party sessions

The Art Barn Mill Valley opened in 2024. The leadership team includes Mill Valley locals and moms Alli and Morgan, along with art teachers Kathy Piscioneri and Eva Saull. The program is dedicated to the world of process art and sensory play for children, with a focus on playful art for kids and on the creative process rather than the end result, in a space where art and play intersect.

Kathy is an art teacher with 27 years of combined teaching experience in New York and California public and private schools and has been the Preschool–8th grade art teacher at Marin Horizon School for the last 7 years. Eva has over 14 years of experience working with young children as a Montessori teacher and art instructor in summer programs, performing arts camps, art museums, and Montessori-based after-school enrichment classes, and has led collaborative, large-scale art projects for school auctions across multiple age groups. Eva is also a published children’s illustrator who creates prints, greeting cards, and personalized artwork and currently serves as the Head Teacher in The Toddler Garden Classroom at Marin Horizon; she grew up in Mill Valley, where the natural beauty and strong sense of community sparked her interest in creativity and the arts.
