Community Lifelong Learning course offerings change regularly, and all off-campus extracurricular field trips and excursions are voluntary. Online ed2go courses can be taken entirely over the Internet, are described as affordable, fun, fast, convenient, and geared just for the participant, and are taught by expert instructors, many of whom are nationally known authors. In some cases an additional material fee may be charged, usually paid to the instructor on the first day of class or collected at the time of registration, and some courses may require the student to bring supplies, with information provided in the course description. Founded in 1921, Modesto Junior College has been serving Modesto and surrounding communities for more than 100 years, and it holds accreditation. It is the mission of the college to empower students to discover opportunities and reach their goals through access to and inclusion in higher education, and as a cornerstone in the community, MJC creates and promotes equity in education for every member of its diverse population.
