Fortune Fencing offers a free introductory fencing class for kids from age 7, teens, and adults. The first class is free, and beginner students are provided the mask, jacket, glove, and blade. The program also offers Youth Fencers on Mondays and Wednesdays from 4:30 pm to 5:30 pm and Saturdays from 10 am to 11 am, Intermediate Teenage Fencers on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4:30 pm to 6 pm and Saturdays from 11 am to 12:30 pm, Competitive Fencing on Mondays and Wednesdays from 6 pm to 7:30 pm and Saturdays from 12:30 pm to 2 pm, and OPEN Fencing on Mondays and Wednesdays from 7:30 pm to 9 pm and Saturdays from 2 pm to 3 pm.

About the provider
Fortune Fencing has been in Monrovia since 2009. Its mission statement says it coaches beginners and national competitors in the same room.
- Private Lessons — $60–$70 per session · 20-minute one-on-one lesson; 10-pack $500; 20-pack $975.
Beginning fencers should be at least 7 years old. There is a 24-hour cancellation policy for a private lesson. After a few weeks, for health reasons, fencers will be required to own their own fencing uniforms. The minimum necessary equipment is a fencing mask, fencing glove, jacket and under arm protector.
