Learning: Empowered! Private Tutoring & College Advising offers tutoring and college advising for students. The program provides high school math tutoring, science tutoring, Spanish tutoring, history tutoring, SAT tutoring, math tutoring, English tutoring, and tutoring in Biology, Chemistry, humanities subjects, and STEM subjects. The program offers a quality in-home tutoring experience.

After working as an independent tutor for nine years, Founder and Director Andrea J Wilson started Learning: Empowered! in 2015. The program specializes in tutoring students in grades 6–12 in Lafayette, Moraga, Orinda and Walnut Creek. Andrea founded Learning: Empowered! in order to create a quality in-home tutoring experience for local youth and specializes in supporting students with learning differences. The program uses the phrase, “With us, no one is learning: disabled; everyone is Learning: Empowered!” and also states, “Helping Your Teen Thrive!” and “Don't Let the Pressure Crush Your Kid!” and “We understand how tough the pressure can get in middle school and high school.” It describes a three-step process: “1. Get Matched with a Tutor 2. Pick Your Subjects 3. Start Winning at School!”
Andrea J Wilson is a graduate of UC Davis. Bri Billa is a graduate of Northern Arizona University, where she earned a BS in Psychology and a BA in Philosophy, and has six years of experience with youth in special education, after school programs, and camp counseling. Daniel Miller graduated from UC Santa Barbara with a degree in biology with a minor in history and graduated in May 2022 with a nursing degree from San Jose State University; he has been tutoring students with Learning: Empowered! since 2019 and tutors students in Lafayette, Moraga, Orinda and Walnut Creek. Hannah Peebles graduated from UC Berkeley in May 2024 with a degree in History and a minor in Education and joined the Learning: Empowered! Team in the Fall of 2025. Isabel Dueñas earned her B.S in Biological Sciences from UC Santa Barbara, has five years of experience tutoring students K–12 and working as an after school STEM educator, is currently working as a pediatric dental assistant, and is applying to dental school. Maria Chernomorsky is an undergraduate student at UC Berkeley studying Microbial Biology and joined the Learning: Empowered! Team in the Fall of 2024; Maria enjoys tutoring Biology and Chemistry, along with other humanities and STEM subjects in Lafayette, Moraga, Orinda and Walnut Creek. Nican Robinson graduated from UC Berkeley with a degree in Business & Globalization, has been in education for over ten years as a guest teacher and tutor, has been with Learning: Empowered! since 2025, and tutors math, science, Spanish, English, and history.
