About

Morro Bay Surf Camp offers kids structured time in the ocean with surfing, boogie boarding, and body surfing, along with beach games such as frisbee, football, and relay races. Campers also take part in sandcastle construction, beach excavation, and shell collection as part of the daily activities.

• Ages: 6–14 years old
• Schedule: 3-hour camp, Monday–Friday, with 9:00 AM drop-off and 12:00 PM pick-up
• Price: $375 per camper

The camp provides wetsuits and surfboards, and surfboards and wetsuits are checked daily for quality. Participants apply sunscreen and put on wetsuits at check-in, and equipment is returned during clean-up. Staff lead safety briefings on the beach before entering the ocean and monitor swell, tide, and wind conditions daily. The camper-to-instructor ratio is 4:1, and all instructors have at least 6 years of surf experience. All camp staff are CPR and First Aid certified. The program’s mission is to provide a positive environment where surfing, smiling, and safety are the priorities. Campers learn fundamentals of surfing, ocean awareness, and beach safety, and they participate in clean-up and environmental stewardship at the end of the day. Camper photos are included, and families can secure a spot online, with staff reachable by call or text.

Morro Bay Surf Camp is part of a broader program that is also available in Santa Barbara and Solana Beach. The organization behind the camp has been voted #1 of 128 Tours & Activities in Santa Barbara on Trip Advisor. Testimonials from customers mention guided tours with staff members such as Josh and Zach and describe experiences with Cal Coast Adventures.
