PASACAT Dance & Music Program

PASACAT Dance & Music Program offers Philippine dance, music, songs, rondalla, voice, and indigenous percussive instruments. Its class sections include Sayaw at Laro, Sayaw Pambata, Sayaw I, Sayaw II, Bayani at Diwata, Company, Himig Music Program, and the Rondalla String Ensemble. Classes are ongoing, and class times vary by level.

About the provider

PASACAT was formed on May 23, 1970. The organization says it is based in National City, CA and states that its mission is to preserve and promote Asian Pacific culture through the arts, thereby extending goodwill and enhancing cultural understanding. PASACAT states that it gives about thirty performances yearly for an audience totaling 7,000 for educational, cultural, religious and social organizations.

All students must register. If under 18 years old, a parent or guardian must register. Students are prepared for Junior Concert, Parol Festival, and the Biennial Extravaganza. PASACAT states that children ages 7 to 18 are accepted for beginning and intermediate classes.
