Fremont Youth Basketball Club (FYBC) offers youth basketball with weekend practices and tournaments. Each team has two hours of practice time per week, and players are asked to arrive 15 minutes early for warm-up to make the most effective use of court time.

• Ages: 9–18 years old
• Schedule: Weekend practices with two hours of practice per team each week; locations and times are adjusted seasonally

Founded in 1997 by Lee Ai, Jin Lon Hon, and Robert Kin, FYBC is a nonprofit youth basketball organization based in Fremont, California. The club’s mission focuses on personal growth, teamwork, skill development, and building a lifelong love of basketball in a safe, structured, and supportive environment. From the beginning, FYBC has emphasized providing a healthy and positive space for youth, preparing players to compete in their school basketball programs, offering families a way to connect through sports, and encouraging basketball skills, teamwork, and sportsmanship.

FYBC was powered in its early days entirely by volunteer coaches and parents and followed the principle “No child left behind.” The club welcomes players of all skill levels and has made basketball accessible to families throughout the East Bay. Many players have gone on to leadership roles in their school athletic programs and have represented FYBC in regional leagues and tournaments.

The organization is led by an experienced Board of Directors, dedicated coaches, and supportive parents and families who volunteer their time and energy. Current leaders include Jinlon Hon (Board Member & President), Lee Ai (Board Member & Head Coach), Liming Zhong (Gym Director and Event Director), Jamie Samuel (Treasurer), Rebecca Lin (Event Director), Joe Hsu (Web Designer), and Karen Wong (Jersey Director). FYBC is a California Not-for-Profit Organization.
