Bravo Athletics Volleyball Club Clinics offers Pre-Tryout Clinics and Beginner/Intermediate Co-Ed Clinics that focus on volleyball skills and fundamentals. Athletes work on specific skills such as serving, passing, and hitting during these clinics. Tryout Preparation Clinics are described as giving athletes tools and confidence for upcoming club tryouts, and clinics are split up by skill days focused on one to two skills like serving, passing, and hitting.
• Ages: 9–17 years old
• Schedule: 14 & Under Pre-Tryout Clinics meet on September 18th, 25th, and October 2nd from 6–7:30pm with check-in 15 minutes prior; Beginner/Intermediate Co-Ed Clinics for ages 9U–17U meet on Fridays of every month from 5:30–7pm
• Price: Pre-register price $75 for all 4 clinics; walk-in price $30 per clinic; online pre-register cost $78–$100
Bravo Athletics Volleyball Club was established in 2019 and is described as an affordable boys and girls volleyball club with experienced coaches making a difference in young athletes. The sports program was created with the intention to bring affordable, yet quality club sports opportunities to youth and aims to create a missing link between affordability and club volleyball while maintaining quality coaching. Clinics are described as a supportive, high-energy environment that lets athletes meet coaches, develop key skills, learn the game flow, and build confidence, and online registration is required for the Beginner/Intermediate Co-Ed Clinics.
The club director is Ignacio Bravo (Coach Iggy), and the co-club director and coach is Coach Manny. Coach Iggy received a full scholarship to study Mechanical Engineering at UC Irvine and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in 2020, and he has coached 6 high school seasons and 3 club seasons, including an 8th ranked 13U SCVA girls team, a 1st ranked SCVA 16U and 17th nationally ranked boys team, a double qualified 15U boys team, and a 17U boys team that earned a bronze medal at USAV Nationals. Coach Manny is recognized for competing in the first boys volleyball program at Riverside Poly, leading the program to CIF as an All-Citrus Belt MVP, playing at Elms College with 2 NCAA appearances, coaching a 17s club team into the top 25 of NERVA in Boston, and heading the boys program at Riverside Poly where he has returned the program to CIF appearances.
Bravo Athletics Volleyball Club partnered with the nonprofit Unidos Por La Musica to create its sports program, and with the help of this head nonprofit, it has built a program focused on affordability and quality coaching. For this season, Bravo Athletics Volleyball Club is partnering with the City of Norco to bring specialized skills clinics to communities and programs on Fridays. The club lists a Boys 18-X gold medal, a 1st place finish at the SoCal Cup Winter Formal Tournament, and a recent bronze medal at USAV Nationals with a 17U boys team among its credentials and awards.
