Norco Equestrian Academy offers horseback lessons and horseback riding, including beginner, intermediate, and advanced jumping lessons. The program also provides private lessons, long line lessons, practice rides, horse care and ownership classes, and horse and owner training. All ages 6 and up are welcome.
• Ages: 6–18 years old
• Schedule: All lessons are one hour in length and generally include 30 minutes of riding and 30 minutes of horse care, grooming, and tacking.
• Price: Beginner Lessons: 1 hr $30. Private Lesson: 1 hr from $55. Long Line Lesson: 30 min $40. Practice Ride: 1 hr $20. Horse Care & Ownership Class: 1 hr $20. Horse & owner training: $40/hour, $25/ride. Lesson programs: 4 lessons for $110; 8 lessons for $215.
Norco Equestrian Academy states that its philosophy has always been to teach riders from all backgrounds, which is one of the reasons its prices are described as affordable. All lessons must be booked in advance, and online booking is required for each appointment. Lessons may be canceled if the weather makes riding unsafe, including wind, rain and wet, heat, and arena conditions. Shoes with heels are preferred, but beginner riders can wear any closed-toe shoes, and riders are asked to wear long pants like jeans. Helmets are provided and required for riders under the age of 18, and participants may bring their own bicycle helmet. All participants must agree to the liability waiver before booking a lesson.
