The CHIME Institute is a nonprofit organization that was established in 1990. Its mission is to create an inclusive school that offers a high quality education for all students. The CHIME Institute is a national leader in the development and implementation of a unique model of inclusive education, in which children reflect the demographics of the surrounding region. The CHIME Infant and Toddler Programs provide center- and home-based services to families with young children from birth to 3 years of age who are at risk for or who have existing developmental problems.

The CHIME Preschool Inclusion Program is part of a broader effort in which CHIME PD collaborates with educators and community partners to provide resources, training, and ongoing support to help schools create a culture of inclusion where all students feel valued and supported. The leadership team includes Annie Cox, Executive Director of Early Education Programs; and Inclusion Specialists (Special Education Teachers) Jodie Agnew-Navarro and Erika Barnathan. CHIME was the 2004 California Charter School of the Year and a 2013 California Department of Education G.O.A.L. (Grazer Outstanding Achievement in Learning) award winner.
