The Before/After School Program includes field trips, homework support, and student workshops. The program also offers workshops on topics such as bullying prevention, confidence-building, growth mindset, financial literacy, and digital citizenship. It uses an age-appropriate play-based curriculum that focuses on self-esteem, peer relationships, bullying, and self-regulation, along with a social emotional curriculum.

The program serves youth in TK–8th grade and includes nutritious meals and snacks. It provides transportation to and from most NUSD schools and is offered at two centers in Novato and across multiple school district campuses. The organization offering the program states that its mission is to empower youth, adults and families in a diverse community to achieve well-being, growth and success. The organization notes that 1972 is the year it took root in Novato and that it works in partnership with other organizations to provide a variety of workshops to students focusing on all areas of development. One parent shared that transportation from school and high-quality food are included in tuition, and described the childcare as part of a hub that supports the whole community.
