Association Football Club (AFC) offers competitive youth soccer, along with soccer coaching and soccer training. The program runs as a youth soccer club that supports players on competitive teams and in training environments.

Association Football Club (AFC) was founded by the Castro Valley Soccer Club, Clippers FC, and Piedmont Soccer Club in 2017. Its mission is to develop skilled and highly motivated players who can perform in teams with a clearly defined style of playing. AFC is described as the San Francisco Bay Area’s premier youth soccer club and serves competitive youth soccer players at U13–U19 in the East Bay Area of San Francisco with environment, coaching, and programs to enable them to fulfill their potential to play at high school, college, and beyond. The club is hyper-focused on serving a diverse community by consistently delivering high quality soccer coaching and learning experiences.
AFC’s training pedagogy, coaching philosophy, and style of play emphasize shaping the whole player with a development program balanced in tactical, technical, physical, and psychosocial areas. Its competitive soccer platform offers U13–U19 programs for players of varying levels. Academy teams compete across ECNL, ECNL-RL, NPL, and DPL, while bronze level teams compete within local NorCal Premier regional leagues. Teams compete across some of the country’s highest level leagues including ECNL, ECNL-RL, NPL, and NorCal Premier. AFC has one of the highest credentialed professional coaching staffs in the state.
AFC and its affiliates form one of the largest soccer communities in Northern California, with over 4,300 players across the four clubs. One parent states, “AFC’s staff is second to none. My daughter developed immensely and was able to achieve her goal of playing collegiate soccer.”
