Association Football Club (AFC) offers competitive youth soccer, soccer coaching, and soccer training. The program is described as the San Francisco Bay Area’s premier youth soccer club and serves competitive youth soccer players at U13–U19 in the East Bay Area of San Francisco. Its training pedagogy, coaching philosophy, and style of play emphasize shaping the whole player with a development program balanced in tactical, technical, physical, and psychosocial areas.

Association Football Club (AFC) was founded in 2017 by the Castro Valley Soccer Club (CVSC), Montclair Soccer Club (MSC), and Piedmont Soccer Club (PSC). With over 4,300 players across the four clubs, AFC and its affiliates are one of the largest soccer communities in Northern California. AFC’s competitive soccer platform offers U13–U19 programs for players of varying levels, ranging from Academy teams that compete across ECNL, ECNL-RL, NPL, and DPL to Bronze level teams that compete within local NorCal Premier regional leagues, and teams compete across some of the country’s highest level leagues including ECNL, ECNL-RL, NPL, and NorCal Premier. AFC has one of the highest credentialed professional coaching staffs in the state.
The mission of AFC is to develop skilled and highly motivated players who can perform in teams with a clearly defined style of playing. Its vision is to provide its community with the highest levels of quality soccer coaching and experiences to support players’ long-term growth as leaders on and off the field and ignite a lifelong passion and involvement with the game. AFC’s philosophy is stated as “Creating opportunities, developing excellence, inspiring our community!” AFC is hyper-focused on serving its diverse community by consistently delivering soccer coaching and learning experiences connected to the game.
