East Bay Warriors Football and Cheer offers youth football and cheer activities. The program includes both football and cheer for participants.
East Bay Warriors Football and Cheer was established in 1998 in Oakland, California. Its stated mission is to instill in participating community youth the principles of sportsmanship, academic responsibility, honesty, self-esteem, loyalty, courage, cooperation, and reverence to further their growth and emergence into society. The program lists academic achievement through tutoring and scholastic recognition, self-esteem through mentorship and conversation, imagination through encouraging vision and dreams, perseverance, cooperation as a team player, sportsmanship with fairness and encouragement, focus on having goals, and concentration on staying on a chosen path and making wise changes. Through this program, participants are taught to use and think about their bodies in a healthy way through exercise and to compete against their own abilities while learning how to be active members of a team.
The program also identifies sportsmanship, integrity, ethical behavior, individual and team accountability, meeting commitments, and making a positive difference for players, cheerleaders, dancers, parents, fans, coaches, staff, board volunteers, sponsors, Pop Warner, and communities as key priorities.
