About the provider
The program says it promotes sportsmanship, teamwork, and giving back to the community through BCO sponsored events. Participants are expected to take part in church volunteer events such as Mochitsuki, the food festival & bazaar, and the Obon festival. Membership requires a registration fee and a volunteer commitment each season, and every player and a parent are responsible for participating in two church volunteer events.
Youth Club is an extension of and grateful for the support of the Buddhist Church of Oakland. Membership requires a registration fee and volunteer commitment each season. Every player and a parent are responsible for participating in two church volunteer events. Completing the membership application does not guarantee a spot on a team. Players must pay all outstanding invoices before placement onto a team. Returning players who did not fulfill volunteer obligations from the previous season will be charged a fee of $250 per player at registration. Both boys and girls are welcome to join.
