Creative Growth Art Center Youth Program includes studio activities in Painting & Drawing, Textiles, Fiber Arts, Mixed Media & Ceramics, Rugs, and Wood. Youth work with studio instructors who specialize in these areas, including a Youth Program Coordinator focused on Painting & Drawing.

Creative Growth Art Center was established in 1973 as a non-profit organization. Its mission is to advance the inclusion of artists with developmental disabilities in contemporary art and to strengthen community by providing a supportive studio environment and gallery representation. It is an internationally recognized nonprofit and is the world’s first independent art center dedicated to advancing the careers of artists with developmental, mental, and physical disabilities, supporting 140 artists whose work is shown in museums, galleries, and public collections around the world. Leadership roles include an Executive Director, Gallery Director, Managing Director, Development Director, Interim Marketing and Sales Director, Human Resources Director, Artist Care Manager, Operations Manager, Gallery Manager, Studio Manager, Volunteer and Events Coordinator, and Beyond Trend Coordinator, along with multiple studio instructors in each art area. Board members include a President, Treasurer, Secretary, sitting members, and emeritus members. Katy Siegel of SFMOMA has described Creative Growth Art Center as an important art institution that pioneered a model of working with artists with disabilities.
