Triple Threat Academy describes itself as the most proven and most affordable way for a child to improve basketball skills and as a fun and affordable way for a child to learn basketball, and calls itself a premier training headquarters for Bay Area basketball. The program offers classes, camps, and leagues for all ages and skill levels in a safe and secure environment and is described as conveniently located throughout the Bay Area and East Bay. It focuses on building confidence, learning teamwork, improving skills, physical activity, respecting authority, and making lifelong friends.

The staff includes some of the most experienced teachers in the Bay Area, and many coaches are former Triple Threat Academy students. Triple Threat Academy hand-picks coaches and holds them to high standards on and off the court, and coaches are described as awesome, down-to-earth leaders. In Alameda, Triple Threat Academy partners with the Sofive/Bladium Sports Club, where camps and group classes are geared for younger players ages 4–11.

One player, Marcel M, says that coaches are nice, teach a lot about basketball, make playing fun, and push and challenge players to do their best. A parent, Emi Y, reports that three children attend group classes year-round, enjoy the fun, non-competitive environment and playing with friends, and that talented coaches get to know each student, gauge their ability, and develop their skills through drills, games, and scrimmages while also providing 1-1 attention despite large group sizes. A coach, Sid E, states that Triple Threat Academy is not all about basketball and that, in addition to teaching skills, coaches focus on teaching kids how to listen, be respectful, and have fun while learning how to play basketball.
